Where to find happy hour in East Austin

East Austin has more happy hours than any other part of town: 100+ places and counting. Here’s a starting point if you don’t know where to begin.

If you want food, not just drinks
- Blue Lacy (at Origin Hotel Austin) - half off appetizers and signature cocktails, plus a $15 meatloaf dinner, 4 to 7 PM
- Austin Daily Press - half off hushpuppies, 4 to 7 PM
- Buenos Aires Café - the $9 Mini Mila, 3 to 6 PM
If you’re there to drink
- Austin Garden & Studio at Inn Cahoots - $5 off cocktails and wells, $2 off beer, 4 to 6 PM
- Aviator Pizza & Drafthouse (Mueller) - $1 off beer and wine, 3 to 6 PM
- Blue Owl Brewing - $3 featured pint, and it runs until 10 PM
If you want something nicer
Bar Toti is the outlier on this list at $$$, and its happy hour runs unusually long (5 to 10 PM) with $2 off wines by the glass and the signature cocktails, and half off the smashburgesas.
Bar Toti and Blue Owl are both on the short list of Austin happy hours that run late, which is worth knowing if you’re getting a late start.
Not drinking?
Daydreamer puts Peroni 0.0% on special at $6, which is a rarer thing to find than it should be. There are more non-alcoholic options around town than there used to be, but not many of them are discounted.
